The feed and/or food safety of our products receives the highest priority throughout all of our operations. All measures which are needed to guarantee this are
being implemented in full without any concessions. If, despite all the precautionary measures taken, products do not comply with legal requirements or with
provisions of the assurance schemes our entities are certified for, then all the actions taken are intended to limit (any) negative consequences to a minimum.

GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance
Cefetra is certified following the ‘GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance Module 2020’, which stands for ‘Good Manufacturing Practices’. This comprehensive certification scheme incorporates ISO quality management standards, HACCP and other essential elements. Companies certified under GMP+, like Cefetra, maintain a controlled Feed Safety System. The GMP+ Feed Certification scheme sets requirements not only for animal feed production facilities but also for storage, transportation, personnel, procedures, and documentation. Cefetra is authorized to introduce GMP+ FSA-assured animal feeds into the GMP+ chain. We comply with all local and international statutory requirements in the animal feeds industry and adhere to the additional requirements of the GMP+ gatekeeper protocol. As a result, we act as a gatekeeper in specific situations, ensuring feed safety.
GMP+ International
Cefetra has been GMP+ FSA certified since the early 1990s. During that time, the company saw the feed chain change: the market matured, the chain became more predictable (and therefore more stable) and the number of incidents decreased. As a major player in the global commodity trade, Cefetra played an important role in that improvement. Therefore, it was not surprising that Cefetra representatives had the full attention of our group, consisting of Registered Consultants from various countries and employees of GMP+ International.
Organic certificate (SKAL)
Skal Biocontrole, an independent inspector, ensures the reliability of organic products in the Netherlands. Cefetra is SKAL certified and through our close collaboration with suppliers and service providers, some of our products are approved for use as ingredients in organic products.
